Annual house price growth slows to 2.2%

and now says December was -0.8% MoM ...

    It’s interesting to see that average house prices have been about five times the average salary for the past ten years. That makes it pretty clear that the whole bubble is underpinned by looser lending practices.

    It’s unusual to see non-retirement flats offered around here in commuter belt BTL-land but a couple have been posted over the past few weeks and while one is more or less the same as what was paid for it last year the other is, according to Mouse Price actually being offered at a -7% discount.

    And family homes seem to be stagnating too so maybe the fallout from London is starting to grow?
