Guardian: Buying a home in Britain should not be an impossible dream

Only way to resolve it is to make sure the UK citizens can get a piece of it in preference to non-UK citizens, and to make sure that no UK citizen can get too much of it at the expense of other UK citizens.

It would seem that the 'boy' has got his Oxbridge history graduate advisors at work here, what is being suggested is no more or less than the 'Land Act' introduced by the Eire parliament in the early sixties. Fat lot of good it did them, I suggest that his advisors look at the progress and demise of the said Act before promoting it as a vote winner.
