Protester Ian Crutchfield, of Beadle Way, said: â€œThe issue is nothing to do with the fact that the plans are for social housing - weâ€™re not protesting against that â€œWeâ€™re just disappointed that nobody has asked for our views, we only found out about this development by accident, itâ€™s not really good enough. Mr Crutchfield added: â€œThe other issue we have is that there simply arenâ€™t the facilities in the area to support a development this large. We donâ€™t have shops, bus services or schools nearby, there simply isnâ€™t the infrastructure.â€ Stewart Jackson, MP, said: â€œThese people are angry and their concerns are understandable. I will be attending the planning meeting.â€
