Young asked to cough up £19bn on top of inflated rents and mortgages

OBR urges £19bn more in spending cuts or tax rises

"An ageing UK population will put "unsustainable" pressure on public finances unless some £19bn of spending cuts or tax rises are introduced, says the Office for Budget Responsibility." No prizes for guessing who will bear the burden of paying for unfunded pension and healthcare promises... The same people who have to pay over the odds for housing

633 per person or more realistically 1200 per worker over 25K per annum, or onto a more unsustainable path than an unsustainable path, or even worse than that! Triple unsustainable!

Eeeh, you young people, you’re such ungrateful so and so’s, I remember my old dad, fought in the second world war he did and we didn’t even have a black and white telly until I were married with my own home. We used to save up hard in them days, it took me and our Elsie nearly a year to scrape the mortgage together but people like Mombers are probably on the dole and want us hard working pensioners to pay for his iPods and his holidays ooh and I bet he’s got loads of kids with his common law wife and all that.

  • Don’t be silly, We need “millions more immigrants to reduce the strain of the ageing population”… and guess what, they all need somewhere to live, so house prices will keep GOING UP…Whee !!

There will be NO problems, because we have GROWTH.

No need to worry about human rights. If you think correctly, once these poor guys are deprived of their homes, they will come over here, penniless and work for almost nothing (just their rent money, really). It all fits together if you’re smart!!

All you need to do to get this level of understanding is lie in the sun till your head gets really HOT! A hosepipe ban must be due any day!

  • Tha’s dead reet there yoong mark. When ah were a lad we was too busy scrapin’ a living to quote figures regarding cost projections of pensions an’ all that roobish. If we’d been caught fussin’ about actuarial discount rates we’d o’ got a right beltin’ an’ all.

Aye, too bl-dy right our Alan, bl-dy foreigners comin’ over here, wiping our bottoms and pushing up our house prices so that we can remortgage to pay the old care home fees, while the young uns sit round in their council houses and want it all paid for, all paid for for free, mind you, not like my pension, I’ve worked hard to vote consistently for whichever bunch of crooks promised me the biggest old age pension and I’m not letting that go to waste, my feckless kids can have it when I’m gone and that’ll be too soon for them, the thankless little b-ggers.

LTF, b-ggerse like you have got no respect, I bet you’re unemployed and all, it’s because of people like you that we have to get the darkies over to work, we never had to do this in the 40s 50s and 60s, there were no coloured bus drivers or nurses or factory workers in my day, and that’s a long time ago.
