In the US, the market has done its work. In the UK, it is just getting started

Unlike in the US, Britain's housing market has not been allowed to do its work. But the politicians can't keep the tide at bay forever. The house-price correction is coming.

  • the US market has far from bottomed out, the idiot seems to think just because the house was over priced for the past 10 years it is now cheap, wrong it is not cheap, it was always over priced and is now back to a more normal level, but these things always overshoot and the cut backs in the USA have not even started yet

  • I don’t personally think that Moneyweek have been mostly wrong. They correctly forecast gold taking off – I difficult remember them writing about it in the Christmas of 2007 & 2008.

  • Distinctly not difficult. Swype is easy to use but sometimes autocompletes with utterly bizarre suggestions.

  • They keep saying the same thing, so they might be right eventually… But if you’re going to make predictions about the value of investments you have to get the timing right otherwise it’s pointless. Everyone knows all investments go up and down at some point but when is the interesting bit.
