Cameron understands affordability of houses?
'Arrogant posh boys with no interest in lives of others'
"Clique...act as a barrier and prevent Cameron and Osborne and others from actually really understanding or knowing what is happening in the rest of the country". Tory MP Nadine Dorries branded them ‘arrogant posh boys’ who ‘don’t know the price of milk’ (but what about affordability of houses and house prices?)

Wow. Did Nadine really say that? I usually get my wrist slapped for calling them public school boys, which I accept is bigoted of me as it doesn’t follow that public school = bad. Is it alright to call them posh boys? Is it Miss? Can we?
fubar says:
Arrogant posh boys is an odd description, I quite like George Osborne, because he comes across as quite measured and not arrogant. Maybe Nadine is in a better position to judge.

A gold star to Cameron’s aide who briefed him on the price of a pint of milk.

“I think it’s right for the party to avoid dealings with tax dodgers”, he said, but he refused to discuss individual cases such as Sir Philip Monaco or Lord Belize- Turks’n’caicos.
Mr G says:
If the Conservatives want to be seriously considered as a voting choice by Joe Public then they need to ditch the Old Etonian clique at the top PDQ, it’s the equivalent to the “grouse moor†image presented by Douglas –Home in the sixties.
And that’s from someone with Conservative views!

This is on a par with bears relieveing themselves in the woods and a picture of beefeaters in the house of lords in yesterday’s times, with the caption “some people regard the upper house as anachronistic”. Personally I think it’s time for the pitch forks.

And by the way, why should they care if the tories are subsequently unelectable? they will have had 5 years to plunder the public sector in the interests of private corporations (http://www.medialens.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=676:people-will-die-the-end-of-the-nhs-part-1-the-corporate-assault-&catid=25:alerts-2012&Itemid=69) after which they will be richly rewarded, via an obscure network of companies registered ultimately in the Cayman islands and other ex-empire secrecy jurisdictions. Blair has shown the way.

Pots, kettles, Dorries has a fine record of shoving far too much interest in the lives of others, both on and off the pitch.
Also, what NickB says at 8. According to official figures, 40% of government spending is purchases from private sector companies and subsidies to private companies. This is the bit which has ballooned over the last few years, Labour starting raiding the family silver once they knew they were on the way out and the Lib-Cons are keeping the system going, possibly with slightly different beneficiaries.
icarus says:
‘Arrogant posh boys’ sounds like upper-class twits. They aren’t that. They are professional politicians well plugged in to big companies, ‘think’ tanks, lobbyists and the power of big money to rob the public purse, e.g. see nickb’s link @8
doomwatch says:
I’m guessing Gideon will be doing something else some instead of failing to reduce public spending & debt.
Fubar says:
@8 Without wanting to be accused of being a Stalinist-Leninist-Trot-Commie stooge peddling propaganda. Blair was only replicating what had gone before. He may have done it bigger and better than his antecedents but he did not start it. We’ve been stiffed non stop for a while now.

Not true, they care very much about Goldman Sach’s, Eurocrats, NATO, United Nations, IMF, the globalist alphabeti soup. The post democratic global corporate state.

They don’t like Arabs. They keep killing Arabs with depleted uranium ammunition that are causing mass birth defects, destroying ancient cultures like evil tyrants. So, thank God they don’t hate the British public as much as they hate Arabs.
