A Sad Day for HPC :(
Meltdown prior to the 21st March 2012
Well guys i thought i would take a look at an old article or 3 on here and see the comments. Enough said about the tortuous search "facility" ha ha. But now whats happened ? All the articles pre 21st March this year have had the comments deleted .... Whats going on ... Its enough to turn a mild mannered pramatic soul into an Alex Jones conspiraloon..... Have the mods acquired a reptilian guise? Any comments from the mods?

techie – there was a big glitsch on here last month and all of the dates were screwed up – I can however read the comments from the link you posted – the Mods might think you are off your Rocker
techieman says:
Jack – i could only link to “March”, or an individual thread (which doesnt prove much) . If you look at the archive for say Feb month http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/newsblog/2012/02/index.php on my browser there are the threads but no comments whatever… Is that the same for you or does Chrome have some sort of glitch? Or maybe i am off my rocker after all ! :).
jack c says:
techie – having looked at the archive for Feb and prior you are correct the comments have vanished into the ether – as I said before there was a big glitsch several weeks back and I’m guessing this is the cause rather than a conspiracy or maybe the Mods are off their Rockers.
sibley's b'stard child says:
‘Fraid so Techie, seems like the archives were collateral damage in the last site upgrade. Don’t know whether this will be remedied down the line but it would be a terrible shame for future generations to be deprived of Libertas’ musings.
will says:
Techie – I noticed the ‘missing comments’ in the blogs well over a year ago and thought it a little odd.
timmy t says:
SBC – there is also the possibility that the servers were trying to make sense of Libertas’ gibberish and melted.

@Techieman
You may be able to access some of the old comments through the Internet Archive project.
Try a visit to http://archive.org/web/web.php and enter “http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/newsblog” for some historical data with comments.
Unfortunately, searching for things seems to be very difficult but if you have any bookmarks for old pages, they might work with the archive.

Jack C beat me to it.
taffee says:
they’ve probably been sent to GCHQ for forensic evaluation
jack c says:
taffee – more than likely as you can’t get more subversive these days than suggesting house prices should crash !
techieman says:
Thanks QG, i had a look but you are right cant find ’nuffin…. apologies to the search facility here… ALL is forgiven… So all the classic rants have vanished ! Well i never did get involved in handbags at dawn or any rants or disagreements with anyone….. did I? Really ok where is the evidence?!?! ;).
jack c says:
techie – the evidence is currently with HP watchers legal team and he’s about to claim damages against you for GBH with a cyber hanbag (note hanbag this is the correct term – a Geordie variation of a woman and a mans bag)

Would indeed be a shame to have lost old comments. Remember glorious sunshine?
