  • Another London story, it’s a different story here in the S/E Midlands, Market Harborough area.

Plenty of rental to choose from, plenty of landlords with empty properties too.

I track 4 bed houses within 5 miles of where we live, this time last year there were 20 properties for let, this year there are 35, plenty of choice and bargaining to be done.

  • Perhaps this describes the London market but coming from a site called “Planet Property”, I wonder how objetive this is. The last time I was looking for a place, one of the local letting agents indicated that the landlord might be flexible about rents for a good tenant. I’ve never experienced a rent rise in nearly six years now.

  • Phantom demand driving up rents line again. I’m calling BS on this whole meme. To put it quite simply, with record youth unemployment the demand simply won’t be there, only a vested interested property media keen to win the market and their readership over to see their worldview.
