  • Been predicting this for ages and I can’t see why it’s not much worse already. The banks must be cutting folk a lot of slack.

  • This reminds me of a UK household debt diagram I came across here

    The orange line shows household debt as a percentage of disposable income. It appears that households haven’t taken advantage of record low interest rates to start paying down debt which makes R3’s article seem plausible.

    That is a massive understatement .

    More than 6 million people mathematically and financially illiterate . They can’t understand compound interest . They took no interest in the small print when signing up for loans and credit cards .

    Absolutely lambs to the slaughter , not safe to leave the house alone if they’ve got any plastic cards on them .
