Families engulfed by negative equity

80 percent of homes in Scotland bought since 2006 are in negative equity. Lloyds says it estimates 150,000 of its customers are similarly placed

  • Apologies, that should read: “more than four in five Scottish homes bought since 2006 are now worth less than their purchase price” Not quite the same thing, though the Lloyds bit is correct!
