Rigsby won’t like this

Huhne announces crackdown to force landlords to install green measures

Landlords who are already struggling with rising costs, negative equity and potential rate rises will face fines if they fail to install insulation under new legislation. The Association of Residential Letting Agents voiced concerns and added that some landlords will just not let property, rather than carry out refurbishhment and would rather leave them empty.

  • About frikin time. There must be a minimum standard put in place like an MOT. This is because it is proven that self regulation does not work.

  • Don’t like the green bit, (General Electric cronyism anyone?) to name just one aspect.

    More regulation of land leaches is required, many of which, are commiting criminal offenses on a yearly basis, through ignoring

    professional safety checks.

    ~ Stop needless corporate wars funded by taxpayers, then talk to me about a cleaner planet.

  • ARLA says they won’t do the work and won’t let pht the property. Yeah right.
    Cause that’s what you’d do isn’t it.
    Honestly, trying to run with the threat of fewer rental homes.

    So by Law landlords won’t carry out an inexpensive improvement, you can imagine how much they’ll do voluntarily for their tenants can’t you.
