House repossessions up by 15%
Bear food becoming more substantial: "The number of UK homes repossessed by mortgage lenders rocketed by 15% to 9,100 in the first quarter of 2011, according to latest figures from the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML)."

In other news repossession went up from 0.07% to 0.08% but were 10% lower than the same period last year.
Does anyone have any figures for what the average rate of repossessions is (pre 2008)

I do know that in 1991/1992 was the record with 72,000 repos…but then mortgage rates were around 17%!

The average rate of reposessions should be around 20k to 30k per year
