Mervyn & Blanchflower say inflation has peaked
Fuel Prices: Unleaded Petrol Hits New High
"The average cost of unleaded petrol has hit £6 a gallon for the first time, increasing pressure on the Government to ease the growing fuel price burden on the economy". "New figures show unleaded at 132.12p a litre while the average diesel cost has also hit a new record at 137.92p". (I've paid a lot more than that on the motorway).

I’m guessing Merv and co are using the same crystal ball they use to predict IR’s, to help keep them at their 2% target. In which case, You lying [email protected]
I wonder if they would back that comment up with a 0.5% increase on Base rate, should Inflation not drop!
