In an attempt to reassure the markets Spain will follow Ireland and rescue its banks. Well it will keep the bankers bonus party going but not much else! Spain will simply follow Ireland down the drain.

The article quotes Spain’s deputy prime minister as saying: “The government is preparing a plan, the aim of which is to increase the solvency and the credibility of the savings banks.”. Surely there can be no credibility of any bank whose main assets are in the housing sector. How about getting the banks to declare where their assets are held. Then they might get more credibility.
