Northern homeowners 'struggling more with mortgage arrears'
What planet are bankers on when S&P claim that while the recession may technically be over, the north of the UK, and its mortgage borrowers, could continue to feel the residual effects for several years. After being bled dry by the leaching south since the inception of the industrial revolution it's hardly surprising that more than one in 10 mortgagees in the north-west were in negative equity at the end of June compared with only 1.5% in the south.

“leaching south”……..seriously,what a completely disgusting comment.Being what you would obviously deem a “southerner” i have heard plenty of comments such as this.Having lived in south manchester and worked across the northern parts of the country,i can gladly state that people like you coming out with comments like that are quite the minority.It serves no other purpose than to make yourself feel a bit better to blame someone else.

Oh, there’s plenty of life in this bubble yet to ensure the pain is evenly spread-out.
