The pension age seems to be going up on average two years every week in the news. Your pension is actually gone and your house value is about to plummet. So be nice to your kids!

Superficially it seems a major innovation, and one to be welcomed.If women have to retire the same age as men, so what! They live longer anyway. On a level playing field it could be argued they should retire later than men. They want equality and emancipation. This is a way of clearly demonstrating they have achieved it.

The pension age should be higher for women than men, as they live longer. Alternatively, pension payments should be higher for men to reflect the shorter period they will claim it for on average.
