  • “Mr Miliband promised to continue New Labour’s “pro-business” approach,”

The bankers will be rubbing their hands gleefully.

  • All those years in power and he was in the cabinet and this strong urge for profound change was never heard from his lips once.

  • A recommend that Ed setup a fund to pay down the national debt so that the coalition can worry less about the deficit and make investments in areas needed. Ed should persuade Tony and Gordon to donate their lecturing / book profits for this cause.

  • New Labour had their chance and messed up, now we are expected to vote for the New New Labour. If the coalition can get Britain out of this mess than Labour will be history

  • Opposition is a wonderful place to be as you can say whatever you want to an not have to follow it up with any action.

For a politician this is stress free bliss for which you can draw quite a decent amount of bunce, if fact if I were a politician I would definately prefer opposition to government.

  • So when the innevitable “double dip” recession arrives Ed will be rubbing his hands together and saying he told us so .

The guy must be clairvoyant .

More interested to know what keeps people like Frank Field and IDS going when they know it’s a loaded deck .

Didn’t Ed ‘advise’ Crash G on economic matters?
With his record, why would anybody take any notice of what he says?
