How Roubini sees the US/World economy

Nouriel Roubini - US Zeitgeist 2010

With loads of facts the most interesting being: Minimum requirements for US Army 1) No criminal history 2) A decent degree 3) Not obese 4) No criminal record 75% of American teenagers do not qualify for army. What chance they have for any other high level job.

The Army doesn’t require “a good degree” to enlist. They don’t even insist on a high school diploma, although they state this is ‘preferable.’ You are allowed to have a criminal record, as long as it is misdemeanours rather than felonies (and even the felony restriction has been relaxed since the expansion of the army’s remit over the last 9 years).

The whole point is they recruit in underprivileged areas, scooping up poor, uneducated, usually black, teenagers for use as cannon fodder. I don’t know where you got your bogus list of minimum requirements from, but you might want to check the actual enlistment standards:

What stupid requirements, surely you want the bulk of your armed forces to be ill-educated, immoral, murderous automatons who blindly follow orders to kill and maim without question.
