Problems with the Basel 3 agreement

Why have we left bank reform to technocrats

This article looks at the problems with the recent Basel 3 accord. this is important because it is setting out the bank capital rules which have a lot of implications for the banks and hence our economy goping forward. I notice that the banks are already saying that they will raise the price of credit to compensate. As ever there are many good comments including ones which wonder if the banking sector will hit trouble again before these rules come into operation in 2019.

  • Fine, and if bankers destroy the world economy again, will it be life imprisonment or execution? For ten of thousands, perhaps millions world-wide will quietly die before their time because of the bankers incompetance or greed.
Not to mention the pathetic compliance of the UK parliament which is now peopled by non-personality, each blander and more talantless than the other, professional “politicians” with no real use in other employment.

Without dealing with the Bankers, the cities of England will become under siege by labour. Someone really ought to tell the Prime Minister, assuming he would try to avoid this.
Some say the Tories are trying to polarise the UK.

The powers that be in UK and EEC will not let house prices fall as the banks would fall with them, so they are cutting the Housing Benefit of the newly unemployed who are forced into rental accomodation.
