A few days old but great headline

House prices drop £36 a day

Would be great to see more headlines like this. Especially in papers like this, the one the sheeple read.

  • Howard Archer, chief UK economist at Global Insight, said: “We increasingly suspect that house prices will only be flat over the rest of the year.”

  • Interestingly the SUN has always been good at making or destroying a political partys chance of power, maybe it will be a big player in pulling the property market down.

  • Sentiment is a huge factor. We can see how in the USA sentiment has turned against housing. The tide is slowly turning here too. No doubt we can soon expect to read more horror stories, the family who bought a BTL flat each and are now deep in negative equity.

  • @ Mark I think it is rather a case of papers reflecting the views of their readership: the public/the party itself destroys its chance of power and the paper merely writes what its readers want to hear.
