Fear and loathing and blind panic

Rush to sell buy-to-let property

The intersting scenario for me is that this will send houe prices southwards with inflation going northwards. Can the Bank of England restart QE (to chase house prices again) in this scenario and retain credibility? I don't think so.

  • A noticeable increase in enquiries. Where did you get ‘Fear’ and ‘Blind Panic’ from ? I don’t need to ask about the loathing.

  • Those likely to rush panic selling are those who bought during the last 3 to 5 years and who are probably in neg equity anyway.I fail to see why long term BTLers would rush to sell. Where will they park their money, in the equity market, in cash ?…Another sensationalist article where EA are trying to get business going….After all the spring rally has failed to materialise…..

  • There is a rush to sell because I see it in Bham city centre. But the prices are still very high and overpriced. I suspect the sellers need to cover their losses and therefore cannot afford to sell at the real value price.
