I believe there are four houses in one building, like four quarters of a square. Therefore it’s not really semi detached as you have houses attached behind you and to one side and a line of bricks of the third neighbour filling the opposite quarter to yourself. I think that’s wht they describe it as terraced also.

I once went to look at a modern place which appeared surprisingly big from the front. Then I realised it was
only about 10 feet deep as it backed on to another house

From the p.doff description parts of Spain is smothered with them. Often, though, they are apartments so have eight to a block. Nothing else to do in the future other than bring in the bulldozer.
