Property was the new rock and roll, loads of pop stars say that they are going to invest in bricks and mortar and some of the female ones even stopped marrying footballers and started marrying property developers instead.

Johnny Rotten and Sting, being older hands, did supremely well out of the property price bubble, but the decline in the fortunes of people like Kerry Katona or Pamela Anderson is measured by the fact that they have 'lost' their houses.
