Mortgage brokers may be down but they're not out

Citywire: Is a mortgage broker really necessary?

The answer seems to be yes.,.. brokers get all the good deals, so whatever your qualms about all of the fines, bans etc, you are pretty much held to ransom here!

"brokers get all the good deals"

says it all really - the BROKER gets the deal - not the customer!

I used to work for a mortgage bank, and it was common knowledge that all loans offered by a broker could be worse deals for the customer just so long as they paid the most commission

For some reason my comments in the new blog never work but here goes....

This is not true - there is no way a broker ever gets a better deal than that offered by the bank - especially now.

look into 'dual pricing' and brokers arguments.
