Come on you naive investors don't listen to Dr Doom. Buy this rally led by junk shares priced 50 times earnings in an economy on bailout life support.

Yes, lets all "get on the team for the big win"!

Its raining money on the banks, and they are giving their buddies the speculators the credit saying "gamble this but remember you must give it back, even if you loose it..."

So, more banks in the UK will be going to the wall shortly if this is true. I hope its not true. But I have a dreadful feeling it is true. The "casino" banks are back....

No way they can win this time....

Nice analysis, Nadeem. This is why I like to read Mish's Global Economic Trend Analysis -Mish is a fund manager and has to put his money where his mouth is.

Just one correction: Roubini talks about the S&P 500, whereas your graph shows the Dow Jones 30. (The results would still be similar.)

Some readers may remember the Long Term Capital Management blow-up in 1998. LTCM was a hedge fund run by two Nobel laureates, and everyone thought that such smart people couldn't possibly fail. The fund managed to lose $4.6 billion (which used to be a whopping sum of money) and the banks had to step in to avoid a wider collapse of the financial system.
