  • Who would buy this company? Without the celebrity owner, it seems a bit stuffed.

FHM pin-up?! Have they changed their target audience? The last time they accidentally appeared on my TV she had stubble to rival syPhilis’.

  • “Spencer and his wife Fiona, 40, founded the firm in 1996 and are its sole directors.”

    says it all really.

stated the company just as the property boom began, and go bankrupt as the property crash starts.

Spencer, krusty, beenie and all the rest of the property porn stars and other property developers are now being exposed as having no talent what so ever.Absolutely any FOOL could have made money in property during the last 20 years.

Yup – she’s at 91 on the 100 sexiest list @ For Him Magazine – beating April Scott, Kylie Minogue, Billie Piper, Danni Minogue, Nicola Roberts, Roxanne McKee, Victoria Beckham, Marion Cotillard, Holly Willoughby and, of course, anyone not on the list.

I don’t ever watch contdown, I’m too busy working.

Listen HPCers, can’t we have a whip round ans see if we can put an offer for Garrington homefinders. We can contact Menzies, tell them that we have several hundred quid, and it may wel be the best offer they have got.

The, and this is the good part, we could SACK baldy, informing him that there is no need in this day and age for a ‘homefinder’ when every street has either ‘for sale’ boards or ‘to let’ boards.

Then we turn Garrington into ShiningWit ‘Useless Property Ramping Celebs’ Jobfinders – There is going to be a massive influx of brain dead Celebs who have never seen the inside of a property that hasn’t got magnolia walls – I also hear that MacDoodles, and StuBWay are looking for people with clean fingernails in their “Raw Protien Preparation” department – I reckon Phrilly might be good with a meat grinding machine – he sure does now how to mince!

  • Count me out shining – this guy’s a property expert, so I want to watch and learn as he works his way out of this. I hope his entire life is wrapped up in property so that he can play to his strength.

It is worth bearing in mind that an ‘expert’ is someone who knows quite a lot about very little. As has been pointed out on this site time and again, it has been hard to lose money in property over the last 15 years.

    Real businessmen are the ones who can work through adversity without going to the wall. I am (seriously) looking forward to seeing all the ‘property experts’ attempitng to ressurect their careers after the public sees them for what the are;

“But you said we could’nt lose Kirsty!”
“Now my homes been repo-ed and I just saw it go for 60% less than I paid for it on ‘Homes under the Hammer’ ! ”

I have one or two ‘friends’ who chastised me for not borrowing above my means to buy a property or BTL. I even know one person who bought a BTL even though they were renting. I also have 2 fairly close friends, who effectively laughed when in 2007 I advised them against buying, with 95% mortgages 2 properties that are now in negative equity. Oh dear they bought at the top of the market. Should’ve gone to Garrington homefinders!

  • Did I lay on the sarcasm a bit too thick? To clarify, I hope he’s left a wreck. According to your definition, he may be an expert on his mind.

Advice only given in his own personal interest as with every other property hyper.

Can’t wait for the next property VI to be exposed as in trouble/ bankrupt/ skint or unemployed.

To you and I vested interest, no grey area. To the sheeple – well he must be an expert he has his own property business.

And although we can see straight through it all something tells me they won’t.

And on this I sincerely hope I’m wrong.

    Sold out

At least Ms Beanie was honest about her interest and warned the sheeple of their folly and lucky escapes. I personally let her off being a ramper.

Yes Ms Beanie did warn, consistently that the fools on her property programme “properrty ladder” only made money because of the galloping house price inflation and even pointed out on more than one occasion that they would’ve made MORE money if they hadn’t developed the property. Oh the madness of those distant days.

Kirsty, on the other hand, advised Hereward Cleghorn-Brown (not a made up name!) to offer 140k above the nearest other bidder in a Location, Location debacle raising his undisclosed bid to £650k, while Phil “property expert” Spencer looked on. The estate agents ‘mysteriously’ sent the Cleghorn-Brown’s this information ‘accidentelly’ so showing the world what a pair of merchant bankers those two were!

By the time this property crash has finished the public will have had a field day with all these “professionals” and the government of the day will have to implement some serious reforms to prevent this outright ramping from happenning again……probably not actually.

  • And another ramper who doesn’t get enough mentions here Amanda Bl**dy Lamb. Sweetly pleasant as the Scottish Widows – Widow, but as a property ramper probably one of the worst with her place in the sun programme.

It’s they way they all say “and property prices have doulbed in the area in 3 years…” – I bet we never hear any of them say ” And property prices have gone down by 25% in 2 years and there appears to be further reuctions as the market completely collapses…”

These people have no shame whatsoever – The world has completely changed. At one time it was considored crass for a woman to take their clothes off for mens magazines, now it appears to be a valid career path! This period does have some resemblance to the end of the Roman Empire – About the time they introduced the word ‘holy’ to it, trying to find aceptance!
