a bit too much me thinks
Brookside Close sold for £735,000
The infamous Brookside cul-de-sac that once saw its residents murdered, taken hostage and buried under a patio has sold for £735,000 at auction. An unnamed Liverpool-based buyer has snapped up all 13 properties of Brookside Close, in Liverpool's West Derby estate.

That’s still insanely cheap. £56,500 per house – when neighbouring houses are advertised at £200,000+. I understand they need some work doing, but surely not £150,000 worth?!
mark says:
maybe depends how many gun toting tots there in that area

I remember when this was a Close with a road running through here where we stand.
Looks very different now!
Happy Mondays says:
Maybe to many actors who went to the school of Bad acting have devalued the close?
fjcruiser says:
Well it is a long way from the £300k the previous owner thought they would fetch, just 81% below asking price!
luckyjim says:
150k to modernise ? What are they going to do ? Knock ’em down and rebuild them twice?
drewster says:
Actually maybe they aren’t that overvalued. Looking at how much nearby houses were sold for, earlier this decade detached houses were selling for £67,000 – £94,000. Now it really depends how much work needs doing on them. Having said that, labour costs in Liverpool should be pretty low.

drewster you will be lucky if you can find anyone who will work in liverpool…lol
