this stinks……can we expect any less these days?
HE chairman of the North West Development Agency has taken on another job with one of the region's biggest developers.
John Whittaker, UKIP MEP for the north west, said he felt there could be a potential conflict of interest with Mr Gray's new job. "One has to be a little suspicious", he said. "It looks to me like a conflict of interest. Bryan Gray has a place on the NWDA board so he's certainly got influence there. Peel's done terribly well out of this." It is understood that Peel decided to employ Mr Gray only after the NWDA's last-minute decision to extend his contract on Wednesday.

Is this a joke? If you stuck a pair of big rabbit ears on this guy and ran the story in the Daily Mash then I guess this would be a joke. But no, it’s for real.

Peel Holdings own all the land associated with the Manchester Ship Canal and more besides including the Trafford Centre and Trafford Park, as times are hard up North some glubberment financial lubrication via the NWDA of Peel Holdings will probably go down very well locally as long as they do not built any more canal side flats.
