This is why governments will never work!! Let the public run it all… no bailouts, no waste, etc

The people taking the money were private contractors. Don’t get all misty eyed here about private entities being so much more virtuous than the government. You need sensible honest people in charge. That is the problem and the indictment on the government. They don’t seem to have any, or their choice of friends is really poor.

The Olympics is just a big money laundering operation.

  • My personal experience of government is that the consultants are the only ones who do any work, all the salaried workers are completely useless.

I recently contracted with a council and was told by my manager to not negotiate and give advice to applicants, because it made the other employees look bad!

  • Council jobs worldwide are a form of hidden unemployment.
But consultants don’t just work with councils.
And just as bankers speculate with other people’s money
consultants are more interested in increasing their remuneration than
the success, or otherwise, of the projects in which they are involved.
