Deutsche Bank to axe roughly one in seven traders

FRANKFURT, Nov 19 (Reuters) - Deutsche Bank will cut roughly one in seven jobs in its trading business, or about 900 staff, its single biggest reduction to investment banking since the onset of the global financial crisis, sources with knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

  • I wonder if those remaining at DB are working more efficiently?

    Just a little grumble, but… I’ve spent a day diagramming how my boss’ boss is doing twice as much work as everyone thought. Reports are coming off to justify our existence from a number of angles… we are saving the company, saving the world…etc

    Meanwhile my productivity, doing “real work”, drops to almost Zero.
