  • If this crisis has shown us anything it’s that Euro-land is in danger of breaking up!

This EU Bureaucrat can dream on!

  • I shall join that debate by saying that things would be a lot worse here if we had been in the Euro. There is a chance that a few Euroland countries pull out of the Euro for that reason, Italy, Spain and Ireland in particular.

  • Don’t worry UK won’t meet the criteria.

As for the old argument about Ireland/Spain/etc. and the Euro.
These countries handled the Euro and the interest rate badly
(by e.g. going on a property binge).
The fault is local and has nothing to do with the Euro itself.

  • Even I have to admit (gulp!) that planning4acrash, malct and Sold2rent1 appear a much less radical or (careful nooneo) NWO theory driven than the way some of the way recent events have and are panning out.

If you can’t say what you want (within a little reason) on a blog like this, that has been completely vindicated after listening to loads of bullish @rseholes for years, where can you.

There are some pretty smart cookies all over this blog, people who think a little and aren’t on the payroll of anyone but their own intellects. Valuable stuff. Although their might be a couple of plants here too.

  • I didn’t mention any names, but I take it the cap fitted.

Nobody has been vindicated. There is indeed a crisis, but It is only in your mind that it has been orchestrated.

The opinion expressed in the short article is however true – the crisis will indeed lead some people to ponder upon the advantages (if any) of joining the Euro. So what?

It seems your conclusions are increasingly akin to putting two and two together and making a zillion. Hey-ho, better redouble your efforts on stocking up on baked beans.

Nooneo, try Citbank for currency accounts and make up your own mind.

Here’s my contribution to the Euro debate “Currency unions, however well intentioned, always fall apart again in the end. So there’s not much point joining in the first place. If people in a particular economy prefer to use a different currency, then over time, currency unions would take shape (and have indeed taken shape in the past) without the need for coercion”

What do you mean nobody has been vindicated. we’ve had years of people saying there won’t be a crash. Now we have the mother of all crashes.

40% off is a complete reality. Sounds like a HPC to me! Are you expecting a “soft landing” then. Crash Gordon is still orchestrating a mssive recession and the economy is going to hell.

In what way has no-one been vindicated then? Has the debt mountain not come to bite us all on the bum? I’m no beleiver in the NWO theory but it’s more plausible by the day. Remember people thought if you went above 40mph (just over 100 years ago) that your chest wall would cave in.

And they baked bean jibe isn’t really any more helpful than syaing “everything will be alright” (which I have done in the past). The truth is the system we have is extremely suspect. It is not set up with the general populations interests at heart and relies on an ever increasing popluation and an exponential increase in economic growth to survive.

Any more of this nonsense and I’m buying a small holding in France. At least 100k will buy you a house (al be small ) and a few acres there. Not the friggin nonsense we have here.

I personally don’t care too much what my money looks like, just as long as it’s still worth the same year on year.

  • Nooneo. You’re on the wrong tack mate. We have all been predicting the crash for years – including me.

P4ac was claiming to be vindicated over his past assertions that the crash had been orchestrated as part of some conspiracy by the elite to force us to join the Euro. I merely stated that the article did not, in any way, prove this.

The baked been jibe was in retaliation for somebody specifically calling me a fool. I’m nobodies fool, as far as this topic is concerned.

  • nooneo @3.57 if you HAVE to go down with anything, please go down laughing.

The following humorous item, which appeared in the News-Chronicle on May 10, 1940, is very pointed: “Germany is an ungrateful beast, and I don’t care who hears me say it,” declared Miss Ruby Fossicks, the Bank of England May Queen for 1940, at Brighton yesterday, opening the £500,000 Golden Calf Rest Home for Tired Usurers. A wane smile from a Mr. Skinner and frantic applause from 5000 City usurers, each with features more brutally degraded than the last, rewarded this stinging attack. ‘Heil der interest on der Unprodugtif Loan!’ cried Sir Henry Glockenspiel, a leading British financier. A resolution never to arm the Prussian Spirit with money ever again till the present war is over was carried unanimously.”

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ALIENS IN CONTROL OF BRITISH ECONOMY

The questions which every Britisher, loyal to the principles upon which the British Commonwealth of Nations has been built and the sovereignty of the Monarchy – particularly in the issue of the nation’s money supply – should ask: “Are the British peoples still controlled by a financial policy dictated by a group of aliens? Can we hope to preserve British institutions and British culture under such domination?”

    THE FINANCING OF NAZI GERMANY

In the British House of Commons on April 16, 1940, Mr. Stokes asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he would introduce legislation to alter the charter of the Bank of England, so as to enable the names of the bank proprietors, together with the capital holding of each of such proprietors, to be published. Sir John Simon: “No, Sir.”
Mr. Stokes: “In view of the disastrous policy followed by the Bank after the last war and the part it is believed to have played in the re-armament of Germany, does the right hon. gentleman not consider it time that the people knew a bit more about the proprietors of this unique concern?”

The terrible fact emerges that the British people were working to re-arm their future enemies
because they did not control financial policy.

The same individuals who were building up Germany were keeping Britain weak by telling the people that there was a shortage of money. Stanley Baldwin, one of the chief puppets of the Bank of England, openly admitted on one occasion that he kept the fact concerning German re-armament from the British people in order to win the general elections. Mr. Paul Einzig says, in “World Finance, 1918-36,” that “there can be no doubt that practically the whole of the free exchange available to Germany for purchase of raw materials was supplied, directly or indirectly, by Great Britain in giving her enemy free exchange for the purpose of raw materials. If the day of reckoning ever comes the liberal attitude of the British Government in this matter may well be responsible for the lives of British soldiers and civilians.”

  • nooneo – The World Order also rules by the principle of “1984” – { titanic and p4ac take note }

no groups of two or more people are allowed to gather unless the World Order has a representative present.

If you start a club of dandelion fanciers, the Order will send someone who will be quietly helpful, avoid taking the front position, and who will offer to pay the rent of a meeting place or the printing of the minutes.

    In more radical groups, the Order’s representative will be the first to suggest dynamiting a building, assassinating an official, or other violent action. {would now be ADS (EMF ‘rifles’ tasers were just a messy start) – malct}

ATTILA THE STOCKBROKER CLEANS UP THE CITY
I was a clerk there: I’ve seen the greed

How wealth and power eat hope and need

Now they’re eating each other but they’re still screaming

    ‘No interference’ – I start dreaming…

    ‘Self regulation?’ OK, I say

    ‘I’m a stockbroker – let’s do it my way’

And that’s the beginning of this little ditty:

Attila the Stockbroker cleans up the City!

Each gets a red nose so everybody knows

Just who they are and where all our money goes

No more speculate, no more accumulate –

This is a lifestyle we’re going to eradicate

Dealers on the floor meet squads of the poor saying

‘Here’s the twist, Oliver – we want more

Work for us or we take the whole kitty’

Attila the Stockbroker cleans up the City!

‘Hello Mr. Hedge Fund, have a cup of tea.

    Financial Services Authority? Me.

You’re a parasite on the population

    Convicted of criminal speculation

Time to atone for a life so greedy –

Twenty years working for the poor and needy.

Want to appeal? Try the Central Committee…’

Attila the Stockbroker cleans up the City!

Morning Mr Banker, you’re in for a shock.

We’re taking much more than just Northern Rock!

All the banks nationalised – Stock Exchange too.

Utilities, railways, grabbed from the few.

Mr Billionaire? You just lost your money.

(Hey there, Chelsea fan, isn’t that funny!)

The future’s brown. The future’s shitty.

So Attila the Stockbroker cleans up the City!

Capitalism is a John Cleese parrot.

Let’s give it stick and not a single carrot!

Bo££ocks to the dealer, the broker, the lender –

Social justice back on the agenda

    Radical stylin’ going on here

Smoked Mammon sarnies and really good beer

For the poor no fear, for the rich no pity

When Attila the Stockbroker cleans up the City!

http://www.blairwatch.co.uk/ – yes we are still watching

Listening to people will never, by itself, change my opinion.

“It’s a sort of gradual brainwashing by stealth” – No it’s not. It’s their opinions which, like them or not, are theirs. I have known people with vastly different views to mine and as long as they are not either rescist or have tendencies to think violence solves anything, they are a valuable contribution.

Don’t run this site down by saying it’s just a bit of fun, although it is. It ohas also some very radical and valid alternative viewpoints about stuff that I no little about. I for one, have learnt a lot from here. I have also disagread with many.

“Constantly surrounding yourself with their propaganda will undoubtedly make you believe that their opinions are nearer to the truth than they actually are.” – I disagree.

    A. They are opinions, not propaganda.
    B. They might actually strengthen my opposite viewpoints.

Personally I like opinions that differ from mine. A world full of Nooneo’s would be a dull and lifeless place.

“I have noticed that some people are starting to succumb. So my advice is keep it real, use common sense and enjoy the site as a bit of fun.”

God forbid someone might actually change you’re opinion !

Good for you Nooneo – me too. I was starting to worry about you because you seemed to be doing a U-turn on some of your earlier views and I thought ‘they’ might be getting to you.

But wouldn’t you prefer to see a balanced mix of views and opinions on this site – surely that would be more interesting and informative? Have you not noticed that the blogs have become a little one-sided of late, with many of the more down-to-earth regulars disappearing from the site in sheer exasperation, whilst others with (shall we say) more extreme views have taken over the blog. It’s now so predictable – most articles posted will generate a plethora of multiple spams from the same people on their same old hobby horse and, quite frankly, it really is getting quite boring. I log on to this site because it is a good source of news articles, and coincidentally I think I’ve learned quite a lot, but I also like to read some reasoned lively debate. I’m afraid the debate has largely gone – as the moderates have realised the futility of discussion with the conspiracy brigade and the others just seem intent on talking themselves into a state of despair. As you know, the media refer to this site as being frequented by a bunch of doomsters. That is a pity, it wasn’t always the case but I think they may now be right.

Perhaps it’s time I left too.

“I’m afraid the debate has largely gone ” _ I think that’s because the house price crash is now in full swing. I think everyone, even the more conspiritorial amongst us, are trying to fathom out what’s going on. No-one here has any real life experiences of a full blown crash and recession. I think this will be as unstable as any period in my life and I’m 46. I think reasonable debate is difficult with the absolute nonsense our politicians (both the government and the oppositions) are spouting. They, like us, are just making it up as they go along.

Personally, I don’t beleive in the NWO or the end of money, but I do belive this [email protected] shouldn’t of happened. The capitalist sytem is now a bloody nightmare, banks a crap at being banks and the west hardly makes anything, climate change is a real worry and all our leaders can do is blame the US sub prime market.

I can’t stand socialism, and I can’t stand the F-in tories. The liberals are a load of lying sexual liers and what we actually need are a few people with checkered backgrounds, rather than a load of career politicians who are simply just in it for the money and to keep their noses in the troughs.

As far as the conspirtacy theorists on here I only have 2 things to say:

    1. It’s a fact that before you can accomplish anything you have to have an idea, some inspiration. I’m happy that S2R1, P4AC, Malct and many others, have wild ideas. We may need wild ideas to get away from all the “common sense” that has led us up this one-way street. It is the moderat people in the blubbermint, the banks, the schools and the establishment, with their ability to keep all the best bits of this world to themsleves that really get me.
    2. I’d rather be in a pub full of the conspiracy theorists, than almost all the people who’ve milked th system so effectively over the last few years.
