King's stark warning to banks: we won't step in if risk goes wrong
A reminder of what our most senior financial brain said a few months ago. I always thought this bloke had conkers that clanked, but going off the last few weeks performance GB must have one of those strong (or more like Bullying) hands that can crush a couple of conkers......... "MERVYN King yesterday warned Britain's banks that they could no longer count on the Bank of England coming to their rescue if they founder on the back of ever-more risky quests for profit."
