    Hats off to my local EA – no beating about the bush here.

    “August has seen very little meaningful activity. The market has been in decline for at least one year and it is becoming increasingly evident (obvious) that much of the housing that is currently on the market is priced well beyond what is achievable both now and in the foreseeable future.”

    I think that this sums it up nicely;

    Colchester – Essex
    David Boyden BSc MRICS

    Having realigned our property stocks by 15% to 30% on last year’s asking prices, August has rewarded us with some bright and well received sales agreed.

  • It’s jarring how many of these idiots are still in denial – completely convinced that once the media stop saying horrible things we’ll be back to the good old days of 15% price rises each year. These people are professionals.

    Good to see that some of them have their eyes open but for most of them the issues are “negative media comment” and “predatory buyers seeking bargains” rather than vendors with daft expectations.

  • Did anyone notice that nearly every single London surveyor reporting covers an upmarket area? Extremely biassed reporting to leave out the less salubrious parts. Someone should take RICS to task about this.
