THE global economy is facing the toughest conditions in 25 years, federal Treasurer Wayne Swan has warned.

More doom for global economy

Mr Swan’s comments came as the International Monetary Fund released its latest economic outlook, which described the world economy as being in “a tough spot”, and said that the slowdown would be longer and deeper than forecast three months ago.

  • p4ac: Glad you’re still posting! Interesting article. Final comments about no recession in oz-people reading too many papers blah blah were against the main thrust I thought. Yesterdays wall street journal post (why no outrage) made me think of your Alex Jones and infowars. They, and others ARE showing outrage, are they not? Whilst they go way over the top, I agree with you that they have a point!
