You read it first on this site, just prior to his ‘honourable’ retirement as govenor of the BOE and overseer of the MPC, Fast Eddie G said it would all end like this. Subsequently when he addressed the treasury sub committee looking at the first ten years of the ‘independant’ BOE and MPC he repeated his forecast (then rapidly becoming reality) and added insult to injury by saying that despite that foreknowledge they viewed the coming carnage with the personal security of knowing that ‘they’ would not have to try to sort the mess out.
Who will be first against the wall? and who deserves to be?
