Why is this happening in Europe, but not in teh UK???
EU unions rally to push for pay hikes
"He said that the unions also wanted 'to tell the finance ministers and (Jean-Claude) Trichet, the boss of the European Central Bank, that it's not workers who should pay the price of the crisis we are seeing.'" ....and the difference between this and the situation in the UK is????????????

MPs were looking for higher than that weren’t they. How much are the MPs paid by the way? versus Cabinet Minister vs. Prime Minister vs. senior civil servant?
I cant remember what the pay scales are.

Those evil Socialist Unions are at it again are they? I mean, imagine demanding that that their members don’t suffer real term pay cuts in order to bail out BTL speculators and investment banks from the financial carnage caused by BTL speculators and investment banks! What a bunch of ‘loony lefties’! Don’t they understand that Goldman bonuses are more important than workers real living conditions?
