A-rated Hall warns chance of UK recession nearing 50%
The UK is currently poised on a knife edge teetering close to recession, Rensburg’s Citywire A-rated Mark Hall has warned. The manager of the Rensburg UK Select Growth trust said the UK economy, which has so far weathered the storm in markets to a degree, could slide into a recession if consumer spending dried up. He said: ‘The UK economy is still on a knife edge and it’s approaching a 50% chance of recession, although I’m not sure which way it will go.’
