Good post. It shows the extent of some of the US research in to the crisis. If nothing else, they at least understand where the problems are and the potential future problems coming up. If they understand these they have a better chance of dealing with the fallout.
I have seen little in depth research in to the UK market of this nature. For a start it took ages for the UK media to adopt the phrase subprime for UK loans and there still seems to be a reluctance to put this label on a large portion of BTL.
Why isn’t the UK media presenting stats like these? Come on BBC & CH4 I want to see in depth analysis for my £11 per month. Give us a regular breakdown of subprime, Alt As, arrears & defaults for the UK.
