The W. Hampstead area (W means wannabe and not West) is going to suffer the most spectacular price fall in North London. Close to the amenities of the real Hampstead, and conveniently linked to Central London via the highly reliable Tube, W Hampstead is one of those fringe areas which shot up in price for almost no reasons: no schools, traffic is a bi*ch, no parking whatsoever. As it went up for no reason, it will crash with a vengeance. 180 price drops, some down 20% after almost a year on the market. AGHAHAHHAHHA AHAHHA HA

I think watching the American bank share rise anything from 20% – 47% in the last hour on the street tonight has left you not only confused, but a little dazed too! I’m glad the snake has cheered you up.. but seriously…calm down it’s only asking prices!

I live (rent, of course) in South Hampstead which borders West Hampstead. Both are (were?) hideously overpriced. Two bed flats easily 500K. Both areas IMHO are overrated but I would still buy here if prices fell by about 50%…

Brondesbury Park? That’s disturbed some deep repressed memory of a squat there, a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. They’re “worth” WHAT now?!!
