House prices are in freefall, but the economy is not. Quick! – cut rates more.

Healthy growth in service sector

The BBC will have been instructed by the ONS to portray it as a surprise.

  • Only the most half-witted conspiracy theorist would take seriously such an inane comment as “The BBC will have been instructed by the ONS to portray it as a surprise”.

  • Why thanks for your contribution “Happy?” I take it your username here is rhetorical. Only a rather sad individual would make a point of asking people here “HAPPY NOW? ARE YOU? WELL?”.

To be honest, most of us are happy here now that the freefall in prices is underway. I take it from your negative tone that you don’t approve. And that’s why you’re here.

My father was one of the board of governors at the BBC. The BBC, in case you didn’t realize – actually I’m quite sure you didn’t – is the UK state media channel. In case you haven’t been awake (or more likely you were “a bit confused by it all”) for the last few years, the Hutton Inquiry was an object lesson in how the Labour government depends upon the BBC allowing them fully censure of anything broadcast across all their media. That includes how certain sensitive data are published (wouldn’t want folks panicking) and which stories are approved for broadcast. You might not like that idea, but then again I should think you probably regard the moon landings as “just a half-witted conspiracy”.

Kindly go back to being bitter and twisted, Un-happy Nutter. But please don’t use the Internet because we can see you in your boxer shorts through your screen (oh yes we can) and you ‘aint pretty.

  • Brilliant Paul — Some people just don’t live in the real world. Maybe Happy is a ‘plant’ in more ways than one, which may explain such a simplistic or should I say simple comment. Talking of wits by twits just has to be nonsense but it has certainly helped this Government to survive at a great cost to your country. I watch with horror at what has happened in the UK and at what is being supported by HAPPYS to the detriment of the very soul of a great nation.
