  • The UK is a joke in terms of democracy. While the US seek to prosecute and legislate (even if it is to set an example, such as Enron) violations of the law, it seems that the most you will face in the UK is a uncomfortable couple of hours in front of a Commons committee. If it gets to the point where you may have to resign, you will retire as one of the richest people in the country.

    Can I just point out that this very same blame game was played out in Congress just before subprime started to take its grip on the economy. A lot of finger pointing before the crap really hits the fan.
