Is Greenspan making a VI appeal ?

Greenspan Says Dollar Won't Fall More Against Euro

"Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said the U.S. currency is unlikely to weaken further against the euro". but "over the long term it will fall against Asian currencies". "The U.S. currency has also fallen this year against nine of the 10 most traded currencies in Asia outside Japan, losing 11.1 percent against the Indian rupee and 10.6 percent versus the Philippine peso". "Greenspan said there was an ``overhang of supply'' and that US home prices would have to fall further"

  • This could equally be titled:

‘Toytown News: Noddy says dollar is as safe as houses’

The guy is a serial fibber and spouts meaningless propaganda, to put it mildly.

Now who was it that said “the dollar is as good as gold”? Ah yes, Alan Greenspan.

(Sorry to paste from an earlier thread – just seems relevant.)

  • All greenspan was trying to do was put off the envitble.

In its day the U.S.A was a great country sadly that day has long since gone
It is now invetible that he dollar will continue to fall..
The only thing that i find upsetting is there is a 50/50 chance of the U.S.A will be draging the U.K and europe in to reccession.

  • This statement was a desparate bid to keep the Dollar from slipping. You could see through the VI spin. When I saw it I just had to post it….

    £1 = $2.10 at the moment.
