Prices rose by 1.6% between June and August

House prices increased by 0.4 per cent in August

House price growth is slowing..... The three monthly increase in house prices - a good indicator of the underlying trend - has slowed sharply over the past few months. Prices rose by 1.6% between June and August compared with a 4.5% in the three months to March...

  • Halifax are also positive about house price growth next year (2008). Given the experience of the USA, I thought that they would be more cautious!

    Adjacent posts to this one relate to the unaffordability of houses and flats. But – Halifax appear confident prices will rise forever.
