Hope they give him the rough ride he deserves. No doubt he will try and use the words "sustained", "under control" and "inflation" during his speech.

    As someone put it, he’s the one who has been borrowing (aka printing money) so he’s the one who made the inflation.
    Now he wants ordinary people to pay for it!

    It’s like the owner of the shop stealing from the till and then docking the wages of his staff in accusation.

    People know that money is around and that they don’t have it, so winter of discontent here we come. Now the government puts up student loan IR’s to RPI levels, but they don’t control RPI, another example of how inflation is beginning to have winners, loosers and will become a highly charged political issue in the next couple of years.
