And what exactly was this report based on?

The BBC chows down for seconds and has a side dish. Well, garbage in, garbage out!

  • Won’t someone tell the National Housing Federation that once a number of the BTL’s out their start selling up the ‘overly exaggerated’ shortage of housing will disappear… NHF there is no chronic shortage of housing, the reason people can’t afford to buy is the BTL’s who have forced them out… Where are all these people who can’t afford to buy living? In BTL rented accommodation of course… So lets get this straight, the people who can’t afford to buy are renting the house’s they would like to own… So BTL’s can you work it out……. got it yet……. Oh yes you are effectively subsidising the difference between the tenants rent and their prospective mortgage repayments….. Quality investment strategy me thinks!

  • The House builders federation says build more houses. There’s a surprise !!

next it will be ice cream sellers telling us to buy more ice creams before the price hits £5

It depresses me the BBC actually think this is newsworthy. A prominent VI group writes a report saying house prices will rise forever and there won’t be a crash – YAWN!

  • £100, I am an expert salary consultant. I predict that the average wage will be in the region of 000 in five years time. I am now waiting for the BBC to make contact about this newsworthy item from an expert

  • You miss the point Tyrell. You should instead be thinking that given that most people will “believe” that house proces will be £300,000 soon, when in fact they won’t be, how can you best take advantage of these people for your own ends?

  • What on Earth has happened to the BBC over the last few years?

Distributing weak propaganda is not Journalism, and this isn’t even good propaganda, not even remotely plausible, and offers absolutely nothing in the way of evidence to support its spurious VI claim.

The ever increasing number of ‘for sale’ signs (which seem to have almost sprung up overnight) tell a very different story, one that the BBC seems to have missed so far.

The BBC should be more concerned for the future of those with a mortgage that they soon will no be able to afford (along with a house they cannot sell) than with attempting to ‘hook’ more suckers to the crooked and crumbling pyramid scheme.

  • Political BS by BBC. About time they realised all voters pay their fee, not just Labour. Totally VI.

  • Hard Cheese says:

It does not matter how many homes we throw up in this country, when two thirds of the world want to come and live here. Please note, I am middle class and cannot afford to pay any more tax.
Stop hand out social benifits like sweets and then sit back and watch the migrant tap turn off, and if were lucky reverse.
