Savills denies London housing boom is over

He said the market has "almost never been as strong for the right reasons" with a limited supply of properties and borrowing rates relatively low compared with long-term trends. "The boom of the late 1980s ended in a bust because rates went through the roof and there was a lot of speculative building," he said.

  • These guys will be the last to sell their property portfolios as it is part of their lifeblood, almost part of the terms of their employment even….Aubrey will be there next year like the Captain going down with the HP Ship, his portfolio value plunging….but as the water engulfs him he still won’t admit it….
