North London property

NW3

Hampstead and Belsize Park, 2 beautiful areas in North London: 17 pages in propertysnake. Many reductions are just small 5% adjustments, but the sheer number of properties on the market for over 2 months tells more than a thousand words in the property section of the Times. And... Hampstead and Belsize are full of BTL properties. I would not be surprised if a large number of those selling are BTLers

  • I live in the area and have definitely noticed more ‘for sale’ signs around. Still, visiting some websites makes you want to cry (or laugh): like 1 bed flats (40sq meters) in Chalk Farm going for £350,000!

  • Have you looked carefully at the first property on the list – the so called “studio flat” in Haverstock Hill. I thought someone must be having a laugh! By the time you’ve got the single bed in there’s barely room to turn around and since the estate agent presumably used the best shot I dread to think what the kitchenette and shower room must be like! To think somebody had the cheek to try and get £170,000 for that!!
