Pension Row Batters Brown

Some telling stats from the YouGov poll for the Sunday Times found that more than half of voters (52%) now believe Gordon Brown has been a bad chancellor. Asked whether he was fit to be PM considering his involvement in the pension swindle only 27% said that he was while 57% said that he was not.

  • Blame him for the housing bubble but the pension swindle is not Brown’s fault. It dates back to the late eighties during Thatcher’s reign. Back then they knew that the future pension generation could not be supported. With no solution in sight, they just decided to not tell anyone. After all nobody really asks what they will get when they retire. By the time the majority found out, it would be someone else’s problem, hence this article.

  • By my calculations he has stolen 7 years of my life i.e. the money he has stolen from my pension funds means I will now have to work till I’m 67 instead of 60 as originally planned in 1983. My sentiments lie with Japanese Uncle as well considering the sole motivation of this mans greed was to prop up his own political ambition.
