King defends interest rate rise
The governor of the Bank of England has defended January's shock interest rate rise - saying it was a pre-emptive strike against higher increases. Policymakers had been expected to wait at least a month before taking action.

The BBC’s journalism stance is indefensibly biased. The title of the article presupposes that King has to “defend” his decision, which is rubbish. The headline might have read:
“King re-asserts need to tackle inflation”
“King determined to staunch inflationary pressures”
“King wages war on sloppy BBC journalistic bias”
