Cowboys regulating cowboys

Self-appointed debt watchdog under fire

A cowboy organisation declares itself regulator for the booming IVA market. I would find it difficult to make this up. One nurse from Sheffield, £50,000 in debt, accused a named firm of taking a £500 fee she could ill afford just to refer her to another firm. A Merseyside manager £93,000 in debt said she felt “let down and ripped off” after paying out a non-refundable £1,566 and failing to get an IVA.

Natural Selection in action! In the wild these morons would be the ones who gorged themselves through the summer on berries and fruit but perished in the Winter. Sadly we are being forced to make provisions for other people’s profligacy.

Gordon’s ‘economic miracle’ is that it’s a miracle it didn’t go tit’s up years ago…

  • Am I supposed to have sympathy? Did anyone force these people to spend that money or are they not ADULTS who should understand the consequences of their actions.

    Tough.

Question is though, do they have homes ….

  • tyrell,

They don’t ‘perish in the winter’, they just rob the nerds that bothered to stash berries away. Like you say, Natural Selection.

  • What a bunch of suckers. At the end of the day though this fee (for advice you can get for free elsewhere) is small change to these big spenders!
